Tendai’s third founder, Jikaku Daishi Ennin visited this place, and he reported sheep liver that he ate in Tang Dynasty.

Local people tried to recreate its dish, and then it became one of Buddhist vegetarian meal, and now it changed Kiyomizu-yokan (red bean paste jelly).

We do not use any additives and manufacture them consistently at our own factory, from bean paste to finishing. Please enjoy it!
In retro-like buildings, many old-fashioned things are sold in addition to yokan.
