It is said that the long and narrow Kuruwa, which is 10 to 20 meters wide and about 140 meters long, was a training facility for horses. There is a stone wall at the tip, etc., and it is thought that there was a turret. At the tip of the riding grounds, there is a place called “Otokuyama”, where the grave of Naosuke Matsudaira, the ninth lord of the Matsudaira Hirose domain during the Edo period.
The area around Tomida Castle is designated as Shimane Prefectural Kiyomizu Gassan Nature Park.
