A secluded waterfall selected as one of the 100 famous waters of the Heisei era
A three-tiered waterfall located halfway up Mt. Takairi at an altitude of 706 meters, on the border with Tottori Prefecture. The main waterfall is 10 meters high, and falls straight down through a dark rock wall covered with trees, and in front of the waterfall basin is a shrine dedicated to a legendary goddess.
In summer, you can cool off near the waterfall.
Every August, there is the Takairi Falls Festival, where somen nagashi and rainbow trout catching are held.
