Appreciate the beauty of harmony between Japanese gardens and works of art
An art museum opened in 1970 based on the collection collected by Zenko Adachi, a businessman from Yasugi City.
In addition to being able to view masterpieces by some of Japan’s leading artists, including the master of Japanese painting Yokoyama Taikan, Takeuchi Seiho, Kawai Gyokudō, and Uemura Shōen, the Rosanjin Museum, which opened in 2020, displays numerous masterpieces, including the ceramics, calligraphy, and paintings of Kitaōji Rosanjin.
The vast Japanese garden, which spans an area of 165,000 square meters, shows different expressions throughout the seasons and attracts many visitors. It has been ranked number one in Japan by an American magazine specializing in Japanese gardens every year since 2003, and is highly regarded overseas as well.
The collection is exhibited in a way that changes in accordance with the changing of the seasons in the garden, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of both the artworks and the Japanese garden. Please take your time to enjoy the beauty of Japan and the changing of the seasons in a quiet moment.
