Shiotsuyama Burial Mounds

Tomb No. 6 and No. 10 of the Shiotsuyama Burial Mounds are the prefecture's largest four-corner protruding tombs, with a side length of 30m or more, or 40m including the protruding parts.
There is also a large burial mound in the Nishiya Tomb Group in Izumo City, and it is thought that there were two major powers in the east and west of the Izumo region in the late Yayoi period. Burial Mound No. 1 was the first burial mound built in this area, and retains the characteristics of a four-corner protruding tomb. From the burial mound, which has been restored to its original appearance, you can see the majestic Mt. Daisen.
