Katsuhitakamori Shrine
Infomation
782 Tomita, Hirose Town, Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture
Katsuhitakamori Shrine is described in the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters), and it is said that when Okuninushi-no-Mikoto was pondering here, a light appeared in the sea and helped the management of the land. It is said that Oonamuchi no Mikoto was enshrined at the foot of Mt.
Fujiwara no Kagekiyo, a Heike military commander, entered Izumo and built a castle on Mt. Gassan.
At that time, a white arrow was released, and the place where it was located was designated as the place of Satomiya, and there is a legend of “Yatatematsu”.
At present, the Katsuhitakamori Shrine on the top of the mountain is Okumiya as opposed to Satomiya.
The faith of the successive lords of Gassan Toda Castle was strong, and Mr. Amago in particular was very enthusiastic.
