It is located at the foot of the ruins of Gassan Toda Castle, which was the political and cultural center of Izumo Province from the Sengoku period to the early modern period.
The history of Yasugi City from ancient times to the early modern period is divided into three major categories: “Ancient Yasugi,” “Toda Castle and Chaotic Times,” and “Towards a New Society,” and exhibits are displayed in an easy-to-understand manner.
In addition, there are relics of the three lords of Tonda Castle, Amago, Mori, and Horio, as well as artifacts excavated from the ruins of the castle town of Toda, which was submerged by the Tonda River in 1666. is introduced.
There is a diorama model that was reproduced with the opinions of experts based on the picture (copy) published in “Unyo Gunki” published in the Meiji era.
