The place where the statue of Shikanosuke Yamanaka stands is called the Taikonodan, and in the Amago period, it was a place where drums were beaten, the time was announced in normal times, and signals were sent to vassals in emergencies, and soldiers were summoned. It is said that It is said that he built a drum tower on a small hill in Kuruwa and played drums to raise the morale of his allies.
Today, it is a famous spot for cherry blossom viewing in spring, and many people come to see the cherry blossoms every year. In autumn, the statue of Shikanosuke wrapped in autumn leaves is a photo spot. This bronze statue was erected in 1978 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shikanosuke’s death.
