Oodorui

The huge earthwork on the west side of Yamanaka Gotendaira is about 7 meters high and about 130 meters long. The outer moat is a defensive facility with a width of about 10 meters and a depth of more than 5 meters. The medieval castle is still preserved. It was revealed by maintenance in the Heisei period, and it is now possible to confirm the defense that protects the Yamanaka Palace, which is the center of Toda Castle.

The center of the large earthworks has been divided by roads built in modern times, but you can get a sense of its size. If you go north along this road, you will find Nogakuhira, and beyond that is Iwakura-ji Temple.
