Heavy and delicate iron products that make use of Japanese sword technology

Founded in the Tenpo era in the late Edo period. It is a blacksmith workshop that has its roots in “Murashita”, which controls tatara iron manufacturing, and has inherited its history and technology for ten generations.
Even though the tatara iron industry declined after the Meiji period, the family continued to manufacture Japanese swords and agricultural equipment, and while making use of the techniques of forging Japanese swords, it produces various iron products that match the times.
Among them, the candlesticks, which are lighting fixtures that hold candles, have a good reputation, and there are inquiries not only from Japan but also from overseas.
Unlike “casting,” which involves pouring into a mold, we are particular about “forging,” in which metal that is heated with charcoal is hammered into shape. It gives warmth and expression to iron.
Hiromitsu’s iron products, which combine precision and quality, are popular with people who enjoy living as tools and interiors.
